Dove Review

Over the years, film directors have created many versions of this classic story of “Scrooge,” written by Charles Dickens. This film was created in 1951 and stars Alastair Sim as the lead character. It was filmed in black and white.

“Scrooge” is the story of a old man who mistreats his employee by making him work on Christmas, is stingy with his money, and hates Christmas. Three spirits — representing the past, present and future, along with his departed business partner — visit Scrooge in the night, and he has a change of heart.

If you love old classics, “Scrooge” is one to watch. Like most old films, it was created for family viewing. We award this movie the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
