Dove Review

“Miles Between Us” is a fabulous movie with a good plot! It features a father and his daughter who share a road trip and bond, thawing out a previously cold relationship. Due to a failed marriage, the young woman, Gabby (Anna Stranz), is bitter toward her father, Luke Dauer (Dariush Moslemi). He is a big movie producer in Hollywood who has become absorbed in his career rather than with his family. Realizing this mistake, he makes an effort to have a relationship with his daughter.

They play jokes on each other and one of the touching scene features the father, after he has defended his daughter’s honor, coming into her motel room and giving her a kiss on the forehead as he thinks she is asleep. When he walks away, she smiles.

This film features themes of forgiveness, healing in a relationship, growing in a family bond, and the importance of family. We are pleased to award the movie our Faith-Friendly Seal for ages 12-plus. “Miles Between Us” shows that the miles can be bridged with God’s help!
