When artist Billy Taylor, a hopeless romantic, and his wife Maire, a sharp, beautiful businesswoman, are coming to the end of their nine-year marriage. Billy’s fight for Maire to stay after their heartwrenching loss is all but over. Until . . . their silent pleas summon an answer in the form of a mischievous little miracle — an 8-year-old runaway from heaven who takes it upon herself to rekindle the once-intimate friendship and romance by any means necessary.
“Heaven Sent” is an intriguing movie, centered around Taylor, a little angel with a secret. Her quest is for a couple contemplating divorce to stay together and to have a happy life.
This movie features good acting, an interesting story, and good use of scenery, not to mention terrific direction. Set at Christmastime, the story features themes of forgiveness and the triumph of love. We are pleased to award this movie our Dove Seal for ages 12-plus.
