Chester T. Cricket is an ordinary country cricket. But when he decides to jump into a picnic basket, he goes on a adventure he never expected. He ends up in a newsstand where he becomes a pet for Mario and his family, makes new friends with a mouse named Tucker, and befriends Harry the cat. They discover that Chester has a talent to make music.

The great friendship leads to helping new friends and saving Mario’s family business. Although the new talent helps everyone , there is always one thing Chester desires: to go home to the country.
