Finding Father Christmas

Christmas for Miranda is a painful reminder of the family she never had. Her mother died when she was young, never revealing the identity of her father. But, three days before Christmas, she unexpectedly receives a clue as to his whereabouts that takes her to a beautiful New England town where she meets Ian, a young man who helps with her search.

Dove Review

Miranda is hardworking and never takes time off—even for Christmas. But when she receives a suitcase that belonged to her mom, she finds a hidden picture. Is this some connection to the father she never knew? It surprises her friends when she takes off to Carlton Heath, Vermont, from the state of Washington to see if she can uncover the mystery of the picture and find out who her father was.

Upon her arrival to this small, quaint town, she meets Ian and his parents who are willing to help her search for the boy and man in the picture. She does not want to hurt anyone, so she keeps the reason for her search a secret. Her discovery may have a surprising ending.

This is a wonderful story of discovering one’s roots and the sense of belonging. It also tells a story of forgiveness and great love. The Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages is awarded to “Father Christmas.”
