Crowning Jules

Jules is a bright and sassy 17 year-old who desperately wants to leave her Midwestern family's alumni traditions behind, but to get to her once-in-a-lifetime Harvard admissions interview, Jules is forced to hitch a ride with her twin sister/nemesis, Madison, who is headed to a beauty pageant. Their road trip takes a turn when the teenage sisters unwittingly come into possession of a stolen jewel and are pursued by dangerous thieves. To save her sister, Jules must stop focusing on the differences between them and instead embrace their similarities.

Dove Review

Identical twins Madison and Jules are the focal point in “Crowning Jules,” a movie that demonstrates sisterly love and a bond that cannot easily be shaken. Madison enters beauty pageants and becomes Miss Michigan. Jules is the brainy one that loves books and is looking at the possibility of attending Harvard. But their plans change when they are thrown together for an unexpected adventure and a game of cat and mouse. Two bumbling crooks steal the crown jewels and pawn the broach at a pawn shop, where Madison and Jules come across it by accident and buy it. Soon, the crooks are on their trail!

Jules and Madison see each other as loving sisters, and their bond deepens. This movie features wonderful themes of bonding, forgiveness, and determination. We are pleased to award our Dove Family-Approved Seal for ages 12-plus. This movie is entertaining and thought-provoking.
