Danny Trejo hosts these short biographies told by the overcomers themselves about the restoration of mind, body, and soul through a transforming faith in Jesus Christ. He believes we can learn and be inspired by others in order to keep from making similar mistakes. Danny discovered his path to freedom while in prison and believes it’s now his mission to not only restore classic cars but people’s lives as well.

These are stories of people who have gone from desperation to inspiration. Many of them talk of abusive childhoods and harmful choices that led them to despair and self-destruction. Many of them were drug addicted and speak highly of programs such as AA that led them to the true savior. They all firmly believe that God was with them and guiding them through the process of healing and restoration, telling stories that span from suicide to illumination and culminating in great success, financially, emotionally, psychologically, and physically.

Danny wishes for the viewer to understand through these individual testimonies that that we can all fulfill the calling to “live in peace, love, teach, learn, and never give up, for recovery is real.” This is a Dove-approved film for all ages, though parental discretion is advised for mention of sensitive issues such as drug use and sexual abuse.
