In Pursuit of Peter

How did Peter transform from an uneducated fisherman into one of the most celebrated and beloved Jesus-followers in history? New Testament scholar Con Campbell explores the places where Peter lived and traveled—including the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, and Rome—to find answers. Con’s inquisitive mind and adventurous spirit create an engaging travelogue-style program that both entertains and enlightens. After watching this six-part series, viewers will better understand how Jesus slowly transformed Peter’s outlook from worldly cowardice to otherworldly glory.

Dove Review

In Pursuit of Peter is an amazing journey through the locations and biggest moments of the Apostle Peter’s life. Hosted and narrated by Dr. Constantine Campbell of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, these six episodes are highlighted by awesome geographical locations and views such as Galilee and the Jordan River, in addition to Rome and the beautiful structures there.

The viewer will have a greater understanding of Peter’s life after viewing this series. The awesome transformation of Peter from an uneducated fisherman to an Apostle is chronicled in this series. His biggest victories—and greatest failures—are all recalled, such as when he denied Jesus three times. Yet his noted spiritual moments are recalled as well, such as when he told Jesus, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” His very human-like moments are relatable to most people.

Various songs and music stand out, including a song titled Shine Your Light. Several experts of the region and of history also lend their voices to Dr. Campbell’s remarkable documentary. By shedding light on this disciple—this impetuous, hot-tempered disciple that became the first Apostle to preach to the gentiles, Campbell has done every viewer a big favor. He takes you to the Holy Land and beyond. We are most pleased to award our Faith Friendly All Ages Seal to this magnificent documentary.
