This playful animated video will get pre-K children on their feet, dancing and singing along with characters like Bucky Beaver, Penny Penguin, Sandy Squirrel and many more. Catchy, upbeat tunes encourage little ones to celebrate the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Dance-alongs to favorite tunes like “Wheels on the Bus,” “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” are a great opportunity to exercise and to learn classic pre-K tunes. Sandy the Thanksgiving Squirrel teaches the alphabet as she invites kids to sing the ABC song while Berty the Bee provides a dancing spelling lesson.
Turkey Town incorporates both Thanksgiving and Christmas dances into the video. There’s even a surprise dancing Star Wars character. Not all songs are well known, and some don’t make sense, but most are familiar, and each features a dancing animal or other character introduced by Mr. Turkey throughout. The backgrounds and settings are repeated some, and can be mundane but very small children will be focused more on dancing. The Dove Foundation awards this video the All Ages Seal.
