Synopsis

Children of all ages will love going on a journey through everyday life to discover, with a little boy and his imagination, the destiny of his prayers. Join him as his questions take imaginary form and lead him in search of where his prayers go.

Dove Review

Where Do My Prayers Go? is a children’s book that’ll captivate your child’s imagination, and most importantly get him or her to consider what happens when they lay down to sleep, praying the Lord their souls to keep. Or when they get up to eat, that God already knows what they need, and isn’t that neat?

This doesn’t get deep — for instance, it doesn’t probe what Revelation 5:8 means when it talks about golden bowls of incense representing the prayers of the saints. But it does let a child know that prayer is important and that something positive happens when they call on God, even if they (and we) don’t have all the details. It encourages the childlike faith that Jesus spoke of. It encourages them to pray for others. Full of child-friendly, diverse illustrations, it will stir them to consider the ways of the Lord and His ability to keep track of everything. Consider it Dove-Approved for All Ages.
