Dove Review

This movie is all about fun and adventure! Fifi, a pastel pink fish, becomes lost along with her seahorse friend, Trigger. They get to talking so much after school that they don’t realize they are swimming in the wrong direction! But they have a lot of family and friends who are determined to find them. These characters are delightful and each one stands out. Fifi has a distinctive way of talking, as she mentions her “fwiends” and “we were twying to help”.

This adventure has a bit of everything, including a shark named Toothy doing a rap song about enjoying eating fish, but he doesn’t do this, of course, because he is Fifi’s friend. And there are jokes too, such as, who is the most famous fish in the sea? A star fish of course!

The delightful assortment of characters include Hops, Sammy, Tang, and Mucus, who is a friendly sea monster and a pet. And there are plenty of “species” to go around, like the crustacean, Jimmy the crab. Ultimately, the film is about friends helping friends and features a song based on this theme.

The animation is delightful, the theme is great, and the songs are catchy. We are happy to award this movie our Dove Seal for All Ages.

The Dove Take This movie perfectly describes the words “fun” and “adventure.” Kids everywhere will love it.

A few fish have a bad attitude but the ones with the good attitudes far outnumber them; a few fish have long teeth but are not overly frightening.
