Some people like pets, and some people love pets. No matter which category you fall into, you will love this movie! The three hosts–Mandy the cat, Frank the parrot, and Jerry the dog, are not only funny and razz each other, but they showcase actual footage of a variety of animals. The viewer will be amazed at some of the animals that people consider pets–for example–an alligator, snails, and ants. But even if you would never want to get close to a lion or the bats that we see in the movie, they are fascinating to watch.

The three hosts explain the meaning of the word nocturnal and the differences between honey bees, ground bees, and bumble bees. The viewer will learn many tidbits including the fact that chocolate is not good for dogs. This film is terrific as we see all sorts of animals–beavers, buffalo, and bears, oh my! The film incorporates a nice balance between facts, live footage, and the funny and zany animated hosts.

We also meet camels, sea lions, toads, and rams. You won’t want to blink while watching this or you might miss a fascinating animal in its environment. And of course the three pets–Mandy, Frank, and Jerry, keep us interested with their running commentary. Just before going far into the film, Mandy assures the viewer she is ready because she just got her flea dip!
