Dove Review

1962’s The Lucy Show was crafted by the original producers of I Love Lucy, recruiting Lucille Ball’s well-known comedy to produce another tv show of laughs.

Original to character, Lucy always finds herself in a mess, whether she’s disguised as a hippie, an old lady, or a rich golfer’s dream date. Her boss, Mr. Mooney, and her friends create constant banter and support Lucy as she laughs her way out of trouble.

A few sexual innuendos are referenced, like Lucy accidentally calling herself “loose” for short, and several episodes include wine and whiskey. However, the quality of content is enjoyable and appropriate for older children and adults, earning The Lucy Show Dove-approval for Ages 12+.

The Dove Take:

Lucille Ball stars in another television series of quirky mishaps and laughs, but certain adult elements aren’t suited for small children.
