The same wonderful gang of characters from Bug Smart is back for more fun, and as always, this group manages to get into sticky situations, educate along the way, and entertain viewers.
In this new adventure from Hop on the School Bug, a character named Bat who is…well, a bat, makes new friends, including Cosmo the fly, who freaks out a bit when he first meets Bat. But Bat promises not to bite him. Soon, Cosmo, Bat, and Flutterfly are playing hide and seek and Flutterfly is amazed at how quickly Bat can find her. But she learns that Bat hears sound waves which enables him to zero in immediately on those he is searching for.
In another adventure, Rusty the ant and Cosmo fight over a piece of bread. But Cosmo is amazed, as the audience will be, that Rusty can lift the entire bread bun by himself. He explains that ants can carry up to 50 times their weight. Cosmo and Rusty make peace and decide to share the bread, 50/50. The theme of sharing and communal living is one of the nice traits of this animated adventure series.
Adventures continue as Galileo and Joe Croaker have a contest and Joe simply can’t shake the gecko Galileo off a tree, but Galileo explains why, which is an educational tidbit. This remarkable and wholesome film features just a bit of name-calling, but it receives our Dove seal for All Ages.
