Dove Review

Although this miniseries gives us an incisive look at the investigative process and credible performances, I can’t bring myself to recommend it for family viewing. The drama does ask and explore probing questions about this complicated case, but the gruesomeness of finding a lifeless corpse and seeing it on a coroner’s table in different states of undress was, for me, nauseating. The suspicion of a mother’s ability to abuse and kill her own child is difficult to comprehend, let alone view as entertainment. But to be fair to the producers, it is well executed. Perhaps keeping this story before the public will help shed some light and bring the perpetrators to justice. But as for something to enjoy with the entire family, I’d stick with CBS’s “Touched By An Angel.”
