Shot in the beautiful state of Georgia, this entertaining story of two rival pizzeria families brings together the old ways of the past generation together with the modern ideas of the next generation as you take sides while wishing for better senses to prevail. So, order the pizza, and enjoy a wonderful family movie at home! Dove approved for all ages.
Riley Juliato (Megan Elizabeth Barker) has never been prouder of her family’s famous pizza house, Juliatos, originating with her grandparents many years ago and her childhood dream of one day becoming CEO has just come true. Mom, Faye Juliato (Shelley Brietling) sternly reminds Riley that Juliatos was built on tradition, and there is no need to make big extravagant changes beyond perhaps, the font on the menus, or a new dish every few years…
Mumbling to herself as Riley walks down the street with a handful of balloons, she runs smack into Shane Romano (Tyler Courtad) of Romanos Pizza and the greeting is icy. Shane is in town to bring Romanos back to its glory of days past.
But, truth be told, both Romanos and Juliatos are suffering since the new high-profile Pizza Den moved into town. After a terrible food critic’s review, Riley sheepishly asks Shane to join forces against Pizza Den.
Riley and Shane are enjoying each other’s company, putting aside rivalry, and plotting together to save their businesses. Secretly, they mastermind a plan that will see both businesses thrive, but when their families would rather rekindle old feuds and stick with tradition, Riley and Shane must make difficult decisions to make their dreams come true, in business and in love.
The Dove Take
Life in the happy lane is about respect for family beyond reproach. But when feuding families are stubborn and unyielding, it’s up to the next generation to do a little shake-up and bring everyone back to their senses!
