The Real Macaw
How does 13-year old Sam Girdis know where a century-old pirate's treasure chest is buried? A little bird told him. Not just any bird either, but The Real Macaw, a 150-year-old talking parrot named Mac who says and does the most incredible things. Determined to find the buried loot so he can bail his beloved grandfather out of bankruptcy, young Sam secretly leaves home for exotic Coral Island with Mac in tow. But finding the treasure chest proves to be dicier than Sam or Mac expected, with a greedy archaeologist following their every move, the island's authorities breathing down their necks, and the entire Girdis clan heading their way to take them back home. It all adds up to excitement and high-flying adventure!
