This is a real winner if you love romantic movies! The script is delightful with many notable lines that take it to the next level in the world of dreamy screenwriting. Brigitte Kingsley is a talented writer and will capture your attention from beginning to end. A diverse cast and a same-sex marriage also brings us to where we should be with acceptance and understanding. And you will love Lloyd (Logan), who is always the perfect companion, non-judgmental, and completely loyal! A beautiful movie for the entire family and Dove-approved for all ages!
The hurt that Zoey Ross (Celeste Desjardins) suffered when her fiancé Todd (David Pinard) skipped out on their wedding, caused her to give up her passion for photographing weddings and revert to pet photography — fur and feathers only! But when her childhood friend Marvin (Kato Alexander) begs her to photograph his upcoming wedding to Kenny (Aristotle Domingo), she reluctantly agrees.
Arriving at the lake house where the festivities will take place, she accidentally slams her car door into the handsome face of Dr. Clark Bauer (Jon McLaren) with whom she instantly connects over both being at the “singles” table. But when ex- fiancé Todd suddenly shows up unexpectedly, Zoey panics but Clark convinces her to stay and face her emotions. As Clark and Zoey spend time together, she is having fun and opening up to romance again.
But when Todd admits he made a huge mistake and is still in love with her, emotions run high and things get complicated. Zoey must call on her inner strength to get past the confusion and move on. But most important, she needs to recognize and accept the picture-perfect romance that is right in front of her!
The Dove Take
Hanging on to bad emotions only causes icky feelings. Do not allow those feelings to break your spirit. Face your frustrations with courage, close that unhappy chapter, and move on.
