While single mother Susanna Bartok (Valerie Bertinelli) is traveling through New York City, she is maced and her two-year-old son is stolen from her. Frustrated with the lack of support she receives from Lt. Ernest Foy (Jason Alexander) and the N.Y.P.D., Susanna teams up with renegade reporter Victoria Garcia (Rachel Ticotin). Together they uncover a worldwide black market baby ring. A desperate Susanna must race against time to find Sonny before he is sent to Madrid to be with his new parents.
