Star Trek: Nemesis

In this classic good-versus-evil action adventure, Shakespearean actor Patrick Stewart delivers a fine performance as Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The screenplay by John Logan, writer of "Gladiator," is intriguing. The film opens with a gathering of the original cast members to witness the wedding of Officer Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to Counselor Troi (Mariana Sartis). The reunion is interrupted by new Federation enemy Shinzon (Tom Hardy), a near clone of Picard, who has a personal vendetta against him. He plots to annihilate Earth with a devastating radiation device, and the crew of the Starship Enterprise must fight overwhelming odds to save mankind.

Dove Review

“Star Trek: Nemesis” exalts the themes of self-sacrifice, personal moral responsibility, and racial harmony. It delves into the nature-versus-nurture debate, what it means to be human, and medical ethics in cloning. The film contains a steady dose of mild violence and fighting, as well as implied sexual encounters. Parents are therefore strongly cautioned.
