Darkness Falls

The town of Darkness Falls, Maine, is haunted because of an incident in the 1800s: an angry mob hanged a woman and burned her body after falsely accusing her of a crime. Now, 150 years later, her ghost unleashes vengeance on the town. Kyle Walsh (Chaney Kley) experienced the terror in Darkness Falls as a child and left the town as a result. Twelve years later, he receives a phone call from his childhood girlfriend Caitlin (Emma Caulfield) whose little brother Michael (Lee Cormie) is being terrorized by the evil of Darkness Falls. Kyle returns to Darkness Falls to assist and does all that he can to survive the horror while trying to save Caitlin and Michael.

Dove Review

Jonathan Liebesman’s first directing attempt has some make-you-jump scenes but also has its share of wannabe scary scenes. Darkness Falls may frighten some viewers, but others will see it as a silly series of gory murders.
