Shanghai Knights – Edited

Jackie Chan's back in another action comedy, this one a follow-up to the western-flavored Shanghai Noon. After an English noble murders his father in the late 1880s, John Wong (Jackie Chan) follows the killer to England with his womanizing partner Roy O'Bannon (Owen Wilson). Upon arrival they meet up with Wong's sister, Fann (Chon Lin), and upon her escape from a Scotland Yard jail, the three begin their hunt for the killer. As they search London, they encounter several obstacles and get into the usual predicaments. Chan’s comedic martial-arts skills, along with assists from O'Bannon and Fann, help them escape danger and uncover a plot to kill the royal family. Climaxing with fireworks at Queen Victoria's jubilee celebration and a sword fight atop Big Ben, Wong is faced with an opportunity to avenge his father’s death. Dove Review

I just really like Owen Wilson! In every film I have seen him in I enjoy watching. He steals this film in my opinion. He is so real, so funny and his delivery is very unique. Of course, when teamed up with Jackie Chan, you are sure to have a wonderful film that is filled with laughter and action. Although the original had many objectionable elements and could not receive the Dove Seal for being family-friendly, this EDITED version can be awarded the Dove Family Edited Seal. The edits are smooth and I doubt that someone who hadn’t seen the first one would know they were watching an edited version. If you would like a good laugh and like martial arts fighting, then you will enjoy Shanghai Knights.
