I was expecting this film to be terrible, but was surprised that it was actually pretty interesting and fun to watch. I had never seen anything with Vin Diesel and found his performance nicely understated and engaging. While I’m not a big car fan, this film has other elements that captured my interest. The undercover cop that infiltrates Diesel’s crew and tries to get to the bottom of the big-rig hijackings was pretty cool. He fit right in, although a few in Diesel’s crew were suspicious. The cars are certainly hot and awesome the way they are decked out. It amazes me that people put the time and effort into cars that these people do, but I know those car junkies are out there and this film will appeal to them as well.
