Drumline – Edited

The drumline is much more than being able to play the snare drum with excellence, as Devon Miles, a gifted street drummer quickly learns when he's accepted at a black Southern university known for it's band performances. He is challenged by the band master in every area of his life.

Dove Review

Devon Miles is a talented young man and very personable, but quite full of himself and in need of learning some of the tough lessons in life. The task of teaching him these lessons lies with the Band Master, who is in-his-face every day, in hopes of shaping him to become part of a team and not an egotistical stand-out. Devon’s likability attracts, and he quickly strikes up a friendship with a young lady who’s one of the dancers in the band. When Devon goes off the chart with his own personal rendition of drumming, during a game, he’s asked to leave the band. This seems to be the action that was needed: the ending is good and he has learned the tough lessons. Recommended for teenagers.
