Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London

When evil scientists begin developing a diabolical device to manipulate the human brain in order to dominate world leaders, the United States sends Agent Cody Banks (Frankie Muniz) with his arsenal of high-tech gadgets, but he discovers that his former CIA mentor (Keith Allen) is orchestrating the events.

In this comedy sequel, Banks closes in on the secret laboratory by posing as a virtuoso clarinetist in a youth symphony. But the problem is that he has no musical ability. He snoops around for clues and tries to maintain his cover while members of the symphony wonder at his strange behavior.

The sinister plot gains momentum until Banks mysteriously appears to be working for the wrong side. Soon the leaders of England, Germany and Japan are under the direct influence of the villains. Worldwide disaster lurks when they target the President of the United States. This may be Cody Banks’ final assignment.

Dove Review

The light, upbeat nature of this movie is a contrast to the more common teenage party films. The romance between Banks and British Secret Service counterpart Emily (Hannah Spearrit) remains appropriate. This movie is missing the blatant sexual humor and the drug and alcohol use, but there are still elements to consider before sending a young person to watch it, including James-Bond-like double entendre and some skimpily clad teens. The characters routinely insult each other, including one particularly distasteful use of urine. Think twice before making this sequel your destination.
