Walking Across Egypt: Edited

"She won’t even keep a stray dog," Lamar says to his nephew, Wesley, an incarcerated juvenile delinquent, about Maddie Rigsby, a lonely widow, who has been visiting the teen. Although Maddie believes he's a good boy at heart, she doesn't feel she can take care of him, even though that is exactly what she needs to do to fill the void left by her husband's death. When Wesley escapes from the center, he tells Maddie he is on a leave and she agrees to let him stay with her for a few days. The two bond, despite her family's interference and his penchant for stealing from her. Now Wesley must earn her trust to gain the home and love he desperately yearns for.
