I was really touched by this movie. It’s about a man who teaches deaf people and kids to learn how to speak. But he comes across his biggest challenge yet. The school he’s working for has a deaf woman custodian who had been at the school since she was five years old. When she was younger and trying to learn how to speak despite the fact that she was deaf, she was made fun of and it hurt her really badly. But now this professor sees her and tries to get to know her and tries to help her learn how to speak and in the process they fall in love. And even though in the end she doesn’t learn how to speak, they both help each other with some unresolved issues and help to make each other’s lives better.
