Every year the family of Nate’s brother wins the family of the year trophy at their family reunion. Nate wants nothing more than to prove to his mom and everyone else there that his family is great too. But there’s a problem. He and his wife have been separated for some time and she lives in another house with their two daughters while he lives with their son. But Nate is determined to make it to the reunion as a family. He gets his car all fixed up, but the shop adds way more to it than he asked making it look more like the car of some rich rapper than a family ride. They get on the road and run into all sorts of obstacles from not having enough time to stop for anything to the car breaking down. They show up at the reunion and Nate’s goal is to win the trophy, but what he really wins is his family back.
