The Notebook – Edited

As a man (Garner) reads from a faded notebook to the woman (Rowlands) he regularly visits, his words bring to life the story of a couple (Gosling and McAdams) who are separated by World War II, then passionately reunited 7 years later, after they have taken different paths. Though her memory has faded, his words give her the chance to relive her turbulent youth and the unforgettable love they shared.

Dove Review

This was the most amazing love story that I have ever seen. It starts out with two teenagers, Ally and Noah, who are from two different social classes and who fall madly in love. They spend every waking moment together whether they are holding each other or fighting passionately. But Ally’s parents try to tear them apart and both Noah and Ally’s futures are going in different directions. They get in a fight and Ally takes off. Noah writes her everyday but Ally’s mother keeps the letters. So for seven years the two go on with their lives thinking everything was over between them and that they had lost their one true love. Through some coincidences the two meet again and fall back in love. Ally is engaged and Noah has been fixing up their old house waiting for her. The two get back together and live happily ever after. The next scenes are an old woman in a nursing home being read the story of Ally and Noah because it’s the only thing that makes her happy. But the twist that comes next must be watched on your own. It’s the greatest love story of all time.
