The Motorcycle Diaries – Edited

This is the true story of a 23-year-old medical student from Argentina, Che Guevara (Bernal), who traveled across South America on a motorcycle with his friend Alberto Granado (de la Serna) in 1951-1952, in a personal odyssey which would ultimately inspire him to become a revolutionary who had a profound impact on the history of several nations. The duo has a series of adventures that vary from the suspenseful (stowing away on a cargo ship, exploring Inca ruins) to the comedic (falling off their bikes, wooing women, drunken revelry) to the serious (volunteering at a leper colony).

Dove Review

This movie is about a man with a conviction. He and his friend are both almost doctors and they set out on a journey across all of South America to help people and learn more about the land. Everywhere they go they see hardship and heartache. The people of South America are no better off than the travelers. They have no food, no possessions, and most of the time have no shelter. They help teach as many people as they can about being doctors. The whole movie is in Spanish and is subtitled in English. It’s a very interesting documentary in Hollywood movie style.
