Never having seen Firefly on TV, I knew it might be somewhat difficult to follow who was who. The rest of the audience didn’t seem to have a problem and I figured they must be the cult following of the series. This sci-fi adventure had a good story line and many good effects. What I enjoyed most were the quick one liner’s that the crew made to one another throughout the film. Joss Whedon does a good job on the writing, but I felt the photography and film editing left something to be desired. It was very choppy and contained many scenes where the camera just kept spinning around a person or shot making me dizzy.
The violence was a bit too heavy as well, incorporating many graphic scenes of people getting killed and beat up. The cult followers can have Serenity. As for me, I’ll stick to Star Trek or Star Wars.
