Theatrical Release: November 25, 2005
The Ice Harvest

A guy (Thornton) teams with a strip-club proprietor (Nielsen) and a dim mob lawyer (Cusack) to steal money from Kansas City’s mob boss (Quaid). Little does the lawyer know that he’s in for some serious double-crossing and Christmas chaos.

Dove Review

This is one of the worst films with good actors that I have seen in a very long time. The writing was terrible. It seemed like they couldn’t think of anything to have the characters say so they just kept writing dialog with graphic obscenities and profanities.

This was supposed to be a comedy (dark) thriller and it really wasn’t either. There is one character that is pretty funny, but he is drunk or hung-over the entire film.

This is not a family film and I really can’t imagine who the producer thought would go see this. It only did 3.5 million at the box office over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I am thankful that there were a few other good family films out there for people to watch.
