This story of young love portrays the problems that sometimes occur during those trying awkward years. I was not sure in what direction this story was going because of the time it takes to discover Rebecca’s hidden secret life. Once that secret is revealed the story is a little more fast paced.

The reason Dove cannot approve this manuscript is that the main character is the victim of two apparent rapes while she is intoxicated. Even though Rebecca, being a Christian, repents for her sins of alcohol abuse and the sexual activities that happened to her, there are no consequences for the two boys that commit these actions against her.
