Scary Movie 4

Theatrical Release: April 14, 2006
Scary Movie 4

Seeking a career in home healthcare, loveable, dim-witted Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) finds work with a creepy old lady (Cloris Leachman) in an even creepier old house haunted by a ghostly presence. Throw in a good-looking guy next door and the threat of aliens intent on global domination and Cindy’s instantly up to the top of her extremely blonde head in danger. Our fearless heroine catapults into action once again struggling to decipher ominous messages from beyond, looking for love in some very weird places and trying to save the world from mass destruction along with her savvy, outrageously promiscuous pal Brenda (Regina Hall).

Dove Review

If you like immature, inane, absurd humor then “Scary Movie 4” is for you. Or, if you enjoyed Scary Movie 1,2, and/or 3, then you most likely will enjoy this 4th episode of toilet humor that pokes fun at many of the most recent “scary” films like “Saw”, “Million Dollar Baby”, “The Grudge”, “War of the Worlds” and “The Village”. I found this parody to be stupid and far from entertaining. It’s not because I hadn’t seen any of the films they were mocking either, because I have. Unlike the “Airplane” parody films, which I did find somewhat humorous, “Scary Movie 4” falls flat for this reviewer.

As you can see from the content description, this film is far from being family-friendly. So if you are looking for family fare, this one should certainly scare you away and towards some other current film like “The Wild”.
