Scholastic: I Love You Like Crazy Cakes and More

Synopsis
As with the other Scholastic Video Collection releases, the title story is a carefully crafted video adaptation of a classic children’s picture book, and the other assorted tales are enhanced by those with related themes. “I Love You Like Crazy Cakes” by Rose Lewis is included, and the additional stories include Cari Best’s “Three Cheers for Catherine the Great.” Sara’s feisty Russian grandmother Catherine asks for “no presents” for her birthday – and gets them – one by one from the people around her. Next is “Five Creatures,” an adapted story by Emily Jenkins, told from a young girl’s point of view regarding the two cats and three humans that live in her house. This DVD edition also offers the bonus story “Uncle Elephant” by Arnold Lobel and a Read-Along screen option.
