When a developing construction site is set ablaze in the middle of the forest, it’s up to the rangers and other community leaders to douse the fire before it gets too out of hand. Buck, a young man who comes from long line of rangers, finds Jessica and her dog, Charlie, in a workstation in the midst of the fire and urges her to leave, but she insists on taking her work with her. When they return to the floatplane just moments later, they watch in horror as the engine explodes. As dozens of mishaps befall Buck and Jessica while they try to find their way home, they develop a friendship and manage a few rescues of their own along the way.

  Romance in the Wilds shares a unique story set in the middle of a forest. The plot is impressive, as it maintains a classic romantic storyline while also having some unforeseen twists. The characters are very likeable, and the writers of the film did a wonderful job developing their individual personality traits and interpersonal relationships. While the majority of the film is well done, there are a number of scenes that are exceptional. In some other films, scenes including planes, driving, and close up fire can seem very fake, but that is not the case for Romance in the Wilds. Even the most difficult scenes seem to be well planned and executed.

Not only is Romance in the Wilds entertaining, but it is also thought provoking and mildly suspenseful. Viewers will find themselves rooting for the main characters and on the edge of their seats wondering what will happen next. With family drama, developing relationships, near death experiences, and heartwarming moments, Romance in the Wilds is the perfect film for family movie nights and rainy days!
