Synopsis

The town of Nowata’s football team, the Possums, hasn’t scored a single touchdown in 13 years. Even though everyone else is willing to let the team die Will Clark, “the voice of the Possums,” refuses to give up on the team. When the town votes to disband the team, Will begins announcing imaginary “radio play” games, which the Possums win. But after Will’s made-up team wins the state tournament, the real state champs show up and challenge the Possums to a game. Fired up by their imaginary wins, the Possums come together and accept the challenge. Their only chance is for Will to put the past behind him and get his estranged son to coach the team.

Dove Review

We sometimes forget to teach children that it is not whether you win or lose but how you play the game that is important. The Possums will encourage everyone how important it is to never give up and just keep trying. This intriguing movie will have the football fans on the edge of their seat as if they were attending the game. All who watch this story will enjoy it whether they are sports fans or not.
