Oh my goodness. This film should have been entitled “Craps – you lose” or “Snakes Eyes- you lose” because the audience certainly is the loser in this over-the-top violent, obscene, crass, miserable film. In the first few minutes before the opening credits you have 8 f-words, 1 Cr*st, and 3 -S-words. It amazes me that someone can actually write this stuff let alone find someone else to pay to have it made into a film. I would be amazed if this film makes more than it cost to make. At the end of the film Richard Messner, the FBI agent (Ryan Reynolds), sits in amazement at what happens in the FBI case he is working on and then, in exasperation, he pulls the plug. That is the way I felt during and at the end of the film. I just wanted to pull the plug on the projector and put myself and the rest of the audience out of their misery.

I have never seen any of Joe Carnahan’s films, none that he wrote directed or acted in. I hope I never have to see any of his carnage again. My recommendation is that you fold your hand and stay out of this game and go see something else. This is so far from a family-friendly film it isn’t funny. It is so far from a good film in any fashion it is sad. I can’t believe he finds people to fund his “art”. My door would be closed to Joe Carnahan.
