Synopsis

After five years away, a young man returns home to attend his estranged father’s funeral. While cleaning out the father’s study, the son discovers the unstated love from his father and the value and importance of forgiveness.

Dove Review

This short film is the touching story of a son discovering that there are some things that a father just cannot say. After his father’s death, his son is encouraged to go through his things to see if anything of value remains and he finds forgiveness for his father and their rocky relationship. Due to the length of the film, the disagreement between father and son is not given as much weight as it could have with a feature-length film but the message of forgiveness is clear. In flashbacks, there is some mild language but overall the film is worthwhile-especially for any parent or child who has struggled to maintain a relationship.
