The plot is interesting due in large part to the fact that the idea of a young man with head injuries being taken advantage of is not your average plot. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, for years a child actor in films like “Angels in the Outfield,” does a good job in portraying the young man, Chris, who is articulate, yet has to write himself notes like “Get up, take a shower with soap, go to class.” He deals with the memory of the tragic accident which caused a lot of pain for everyone.
A seedy guy on the bad side of town manipulates Chris and eventually convinces him to be a lookout during a bank robbery, hence the title of the film. The finish has interesting turns and the viewer is left with a bittersweet conclusion. However, this film has strong language in it, brief nudity and violence, as well as drug usage, and we cannot award it our Dove Seal.
