The Three Musketeers

A Disney-ized retelling of Dumas' classic swashbuckling story of three swordsmen plus one of the disbanded French king's guard who seek to save their King from the scheming of the Cardinal Richelieu. Jokes and stunts are the expected fare in this light-hearted and jaunty adventure.

Dove Review

There is almost non-stop action in this film so the energy level is high. Some of the fighting is very well done. Tim Curry makes a good villain. These are some of the positive elements in the film. No doubt parents will want to closely observe our content ratings below as some parents won’t feel comfortable to take their children twelve and above. However, although the content rating does hit a level of two in five categories, it does not hit a three and it is a three which prevents us from approving a movie for family viewing. We do approve this film for ages twelve and above and award it our Dove Seal.
