Dove Review

This DVD is a compilation of five episodes of the children’s television show “It’s a Big, Big World”. The puppet characters are endearing as each one has its own personality and quirks that range from an anteater that is afraid of storms to a fish that is protective of his water hole. The quality is superb and the lessons about nature and the environment are wonderful.

This DVD teaches five lessons about things in the sky including: the moon, storms, rainbows and the water cycle. The lessons are put into a story form and definitely are easy for kids to understand. The only item we need to mention is that the environmental focus is very strong and so the moon has feelings and flowers need to be talked to etc. Dove happily awards “It’s a Big Big World: The Sky Above” the Dove Family-Approved Seal.
