Enjoy a wonderful slice of Americana in this rollicking Bluegrass Musical set in the Appalachian foothills of the 1950’s.

On the evening of her last performance, retiring Broadway star, Rebecca Roles (Margo Smith) falls asleep and wakes up to find she is miraculously 17 years old again. “Becky” (Lesley Bowen) is living back in her Appalachian cabin home with her wonderful and whacky family; a younger sister, Kelly (Sherri Bohlander), her mama (Laura Romeo), and grandpa (Eddie Mekka, “The Big Ragu” in Laverne and Shirley). Becky’s family is poor in material possessions but rich in faith, love and friends. This inspirational story, done in the fine tradition of past movie musicals, has an endearing cast of characters, lots of humor, and music that will work its way into your heart!

Dove Review

This is a quirky film with a lot to offer. Becky, the main character, is given another chance to go back in time to re-live her life and learn about how important family, friends, love and God are. She goes back to her teens and almost resorts to her old ways. After learning an important lesson, she realizes what is most important. This film is excellent for showing people that forgiveness and accepting who you are can be most beneficial. “Stuck in the Past” is a great film for people of all ages, but I believe that teens and young adults will get the most out of this film because they will find themselves relating to the characters.

Dove is happy to award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to “Stuck in the Past”. It is a heartwarming movie you will want to get “stuck” watching!
