“Jumper” is a film with a premise similar to “Quantum Leap”. David Rice (Hayden Christensen) learns he has the ability to teleport himself to different places in the world including Rome, Tokyo and New York City. He can control where he goes and he makes selfish use of this ability, for example when he robs a bank of a lot of money. He unwittingly involves his girlfriend Millie (Rachel Bilson) and trouble finds him around every corner when he learns that a man named Roland (Samuel L. Jackson) is bent on killing him, and shockingly enough, another jumper whom David eventually bumps into.
David must learn if he is truly different than the other jumper, named Griffin (Jamie Bell) who is willing to go to great lengths including murder to save himself. Although the story is interesting and the special effects are nicely executed, there is implied sex outside of marriage in two scenes in the film, in addition to strong language.
