Dove Review

This “real” version of the Jungle Book story is told by Rikki Tikki Tavi, the mongoose. His character steals the show with his antics and humor and will even keep adults chuckling throughout the movie. The story has some clever aspects to it, i.e. how humans sound to animals, and it is of the highest quality. There is nothing but a bare-chested Mowgli to be concerned with in the area of content which makes it a somewhat rare find these days. A very interesting aspect of the movie is the unique mix of cartoon and computerization that takes place. A wonderful family watch, “Jungle Book: Rikki Tikki Tavi to the Rescue” is easily awarded the “Dove Family-Approved Seal”.
