The Legend of Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman goes where he is needed most, and the town of Evergreen sure needed a visit. Mr. Tinkerton, the mayor, runs a tight ship and there's no room for talk of magic or any other such nonsense. But, when Frosty the Snowman blows through town, he shows the town's children that magic is real. Tinkerton's sons, Charlie and Tommy, along with their friends Sarah and Walter, want to spread the word about Frosty's fun-loving, magical antics, but meet resistance from Evergreen Elementary's dastardly principal Hank Pankley. In the end, good wins out and all the citizens of Evergreen happily learn that magic is real and fun is for everyone!

Dove Review

The story starts out in the town of Evergreen. It’s about a family with two sons, Tommy and Charlie and also the mother and a father who is mayor of Evergreen. The father expects all the town’s people to go by his rules and never disobey or have fun. Tommy finds a book about “The Legend Of Frosty The Snowman” at the library. As he reads the book he sees it’s about a magician and his son. The magician has a magical hat, and it is stolen. All of a sudden Frosty shows up in Evergreen. All the kids start missing school and are punished by detention. As Tommy sees Frosty he realizes Frosty is wearing the magical hat in the book. The principal is mean to Frosty and takes him to lake. Frosty falls in the lake and loses his hat. The principal hides the hat so Tommy, Charlie, Walter and Sara save Frosty and take the hat back from the principal. Tommy takes the hat and they bring Frosty back to life. Tommy shows his dad the book. This animated musical cartoon was a joy to watch and we award it our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
