Fern Hill

FERN HILL is a coming of age story about four 13 year old boys on a weekend in 1987 into the mountains of Colorado in search of a father and a lost plane. The unexplained mystery of Colin's father and his small Cesna that disappeared seven years ago compels a boy to find an answer, or at least try. And true friends understand ... so together, they leave. Adventure, struggle, fear, and hope binds a story of real lives and leaves a healing memory of youth and redemption.

Dove Review

Young boys in their early teen years always struggle with emotions, friendships, changes and fitting in. This film is about the fact that sometimes it is important for young boys to have friends that they can tell their inner-most fears and thoughts. “Fern Hill” is one of those coming of age stories, taking on a resemblance of the movie “Stand by Me’. In fact one of the characters mentions that their adventure is like that movie”but they are not looking for a dead boy”.

At times this movie is tense and other times it will make you laugh. Dove awards this film the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for 12+.
