It took a bit for me to get into this story, but once I did I was glued to it. It could make a good movie if it is filmed as it is. I found myself reminiscing about the “GOOD OLD DAYS” . Overall, the content rating is surprisingly low. It is a very well written piece of work.
David is stricken with cancer and his life is about to end. God steps in and shows him his past and makes him realize that there are many things to live for. God is talking with David through a computer. The walls and floor change around him to take you back in time to see the important moments of David’s life. I found myself saying to David do this or say this. The writer (Clark B. McMillian Jr.) does a fantastic job at describing and portraying the characters. I believe you will feel as if you actually know them.
This story brings out many good points that we should live by. People can and do change; Hope a very beautiful woman who stops chasing after men and will take care of her family. Friendship can have an everlasting bond if you let it; three of the characters are friends through the ups and downs until the very end. Kindness and trust are values we should all have; David will give of his heart and trust people even though their reputation says otherwise. Love can conquer all; even though David is hurt many times his love will always triumph. And last but not least God is the one to listen to and believe in; at the end David listens to God and captures the woman of his life! Overall this is a very inspiring and loving story, and we are happy to award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to it. We can’t wait to see the movie!
