When former marine Lt. Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) finds himself in the midst of flying bullets, he becomes a hero by saving a member of the Royal family from an Irish Terrorist group. However, he makes a strong enemy in the person of Sean Miller (Sean Bean), when Ryan kills his younger brother who is one of the terrorists in the attack.
Both Ford and Bean are terrific in their roles, with Bean’s character playing a mad man out for revenge. He actually follows Ryan to America to bring down he and his family. He will go to great lengths, including aborting other missions, to kill Ryan. There is, however, a lot of violence in the picture, in addition to very strong language, and we therefore cannot award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to the movie.
