Synopsis

Ozzie is a young koala living in Australia. He is kidnapped by two goons (Buzz and Tank) who work for Max Happy, president of Happy Toys. Legend says that Ozzie speaks English and Max wants to clone Ozzie into hundreds of koalas and sell them for a fortune as talking pets! Buzz and Tank “lose” Ozzie on the plane-ride home by accident to Justin Morton, an eight year old who is celebrating his birthday with his mom, Beth, with a trip to Australia. Ozzie winds up in Justin’s backpack. When Max finds out the koala is missing, a comedic screwball chase begins and ends in a surprise that knocks Max off her throne!

Dove Review

Made in 2001, Ozzie is a story of a talking koala bear. It is a charming story about the adventure Ozzie goes on when he finds himself kidnapped from his home. Exchanging himself with the stuffed bear Justin got from his mom, Ozzie and Justin find themselves trying to outrun the bad guys.

This is an hilarious adventure that will have everyone laughing. Although technology has changed from 2001 and Ozzie would be a little more realistic today then he is in this film, the comedy will be entertaining for the entire family. Dove awards our Dove”Family-Approved” Seal to “Ozzie”.
